Day 24 Jan 21

Today we were taken by coach to the ruins of Palenque. This is a very large, dramatic site! This is one of the great archaeological sites fo Mexico. Then at noon we were bussed to Agua Azul, where we ate lunch. A whole fish, head, fins, tail, in place(minus the guts) deep fried! Delicious!
Then we swam(not Pam) in this clear azure water, floating in the strong currents. Lots of fun, very refreshing in this hot, humid climate. The falls are spectacular....I didn't take any pictures of it unfortunately because I was enjoying the waterplay! I am hoping to get pictures from somebody.
We then visited Misol Ha, (more waterfalls)and walked down under the falls...just a short stop.
Ate dinner in the resturant tonight....8 of us, 5 had steak, 2 chicken, and I had Enchiladas!

  1. We remember lots of these places. Were ropes strung across the road to agua azul so the children could sell their veggies? Know you are having the time of your lives. I'm so envious! Just love the blog.

  3. This morning was catch-up on your blog, from day 20-24. It is such fun following this. We have quite a bit of snow from 2 storms and temps last night down to 6 or so degrees. Food sounds great, water beautiful, sites interesting. Glad your stomach is holding up. Getting any knitting done on the bumpy roads?
