Day3 12/31

This is going to get pretty boring....same old stuff. Pams driving and frans knitting/navigating. But that's the way it is after all, we are driving to Texas to meet up with our "Adventure Caravan". So it's 8 or 10 or how many hours we choose to drive of....Pam's driving and Fran's knitting/navigating and there are the fuel, potty and meal stops. Now the scenery might be of interest but well it's winter and so it pretty much bleak until you look beyond to the frosted trees, the white squares of pasture land with dottings of black cows...Ansel Adams-ish.
What we are appreciating also is the temperature rising... slowly, but rising.
This morning there was 3 inches of snow and 28 degrees and as we continued along Rt 81 we got sun, then slush, then rain, and I don't even remember how far along we were before realizing the fields were greenish and the temp was 50 at 5 pm when we arrived at tonights destinaton. My first overnight beyond the confines of Wal-mart(atleast camping with Pam).
So tonight, New Years eve, we are in Kingston TN at Pam's cousins, having dinner around the table with family and sleeping in the camper in the driveway,(only slightly tilted down hill)and plugged in so we have all the lights on and the heater on too. This could be heaven.
signing off...W Wandering W's
